XBRL US Announces its National Conference 2010: The Path to Transparency in Philadelphia, PA, November 9-10, 2010
WASHINGTON, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- XBRL US, the nonprofit consortium for XML business reporting, announced today that it will hold its annual conference on November 9-10, 2010 in Philadelphia, PA at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The program will focus on how the use of XBRL can lead to greater transparency with an emphasis on real-world implementation such as XBRL for US GAAP reporting. Development programs underway including XBRL for corporate actions and proxy and other areas in securities processing will also be key topics. CPE credit will be available for all panels and training sessions.

Deloitte Netherlands: Disclosure of XBRL financial statements
Deloitte Netherlands has disclosed their 2008-2009 Consolidated Financial Statement in XBRL using the 2009 version of the Dutch Taxonomy. Also an assurance report on the XBRL instance document has been prepared and published on the company?s website. As not all data items in the printed version of the annual report 2009 are covered by the 2009 version of the Dutch Taxonomy, the instance document contains footnotes that explain specific fact values where applicable. Although disclosure of XBRL reports is not mandatory, Deloitte Netherlands recognizes and supports XBRL as a data standard for managing and reporting financial and business information. The XBRL information can be viewed interactively on the company?s website and can be downloaded. HP Labs Innovation Research Program Call for Proposals 2010
December, 2009 - HP Labs has launched its third annual 2010 Innovation Research Program (IRP) Call for Proposals, offering awards in the range of $50,000 to $75,000 USD to researchers at colleges, universities and research institutes around the world. The program is designed to create opportunities for breakthrough collaborative research with HP. Proposals will be judged on their potential scientific and societal impact, as well as the caliber of the principal researchers, the availability of matching funds for the project and the quality of the proposed research plan. The deadline for abstract submissions is 29 January 2010.
